A client nation is a nation God blesses because the people as a whole honor God’s word, Ex.19:6. God expects a client nation to represent him through the preaching of the Gospel and through those who are saved to live a life in likeness to that of Jesus Christ, a life which reflects the teaching of the Bible to the dispensation in which the believer is born, I Cor.2:16; Phil.2:5.

In the Old Testament, Israel was God’s client nation. However, client nation status goes to any nation now where believers and those people as a whole reflect God’s standards in their personal and social lives as they observe free will, nationalism, marriage and family as outlined in those scriptures for each dispensation.

In the Old Testament, God picked Israel to be his mouthpiece to the world, Rom.3:1-2. They were entrusted [Aor.Pass.I] from pisteuo, to entrust, to put to another’s safe keeping. They received the honor of being made the guardians of the, Ta logia to Theou, the oracles of God; which are the sacred Scriptures of God.

Acts 7:38 Luke called the tablets Moses received from God as the, zonta logia, the living oracles of God. Heb.4:12 says God’s word is living and powerful.

Read I Pet.4:11- Peter says if any one speaks of the oracles of God, he speaks of the living Word, let him do it that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever, Amen. To be denied to publicly speak in the name of Jesus Christ is to deny God his rightful glory.

God chose Israel to be his instrument to stand up against idolatry, to make much of his holy name. He chose her to reflect his heavenly will upon the earth, Gen.12:1-3. read., Read Deut.4:4-9.

However, after the Pharisees called the works of our Lord, the works of Satan in Matt.12:24, from then forward our Lord pulled the client nation status of Israel, Matt.12:30. Israel’s client nation status will be on hold until the second coming of Jesus Christ and the establishment of his millennial reign.

Only those who seek to be gathered in faith with Christ through salvation make up the present day kingdom of God, Matt.12:30, Gal.3:26. Those who practice the will of God as found in the living word of God are called the family of God, Matt.12:50.

From Matt.28:18-19, where we find the Great Commission, we note that this commission has been given to the church by the authority of Jesus Christ, and it is to be sponsored and sustained by the local church.

The local church is now responsible for financing the spreading of the Gospel, and it is also responsible for financing those pastor-teachers work in teaching the doctrines of edification, I Tim.5:17-18; Gal.6:6. No nation will survive as a nation under God whose pastors are not biblically equipped and supported so they may learn and teach the whole council of God’s word to God’s people. If God’s people do not have their spiritual salt maintained by a healthy diet of Bible doctrine then that nation will be trampled under foot by other nations, Matt.5:13. Salt heals and preserves a nation, not sugar. Integrity learned from biblical principles preserves a nation not sentimentalism.

The P-T is to endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ and he is to commit himself full time to the ministry. He is not to be involved with business occupations so that he can focus his attention on his studies and teaching the word of God, II Tim.2:4.

The survival of a nation depends on God’s people getting their daily bread from the word of God and pastors are to exemplify this before their people. If pastors scrap the word of God for something else on Sundays, why should they be shocked if their people scrap the word of God for something else the rest of the week? If the pastor scraps the word of God on Sundays, most likely he is scrapping the word of God the rest of the week as well.

Remaining under the blessings of God is not based on luck, or big business or powerful militaries, but instead it is based on God’s people learning and understanding and applying to their actions, through voluntary obedience, God’s point of view. And it is the pastors who fail to study long hours in order to teach each week God’s biblical point of view; who initiate the downfall of a nation. Hosea 4:6 read “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, thou shalt be no priest to me; seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Do we want this to happen to our children and their children? Then as God’s people we had better get back into the Bible, and into local churches where pastors spend their time learning and teaching God’s word. Hosea did not say God’s people were destroyed due to a lack of entertainment or amusement did he? But this is what a lot of churches and their pastors in America are offering their people each week. When Bible doctrine is substituted with something else more appealing to the people, you can get a bigger crowd to come, but you are doing nothing to glorify God or help the people The biblical illiteracy in America has left God’s people adapting to the culture; media and other sources for inspiration. Shamefully this same biblical illiteracy is pervasive in Christian congregations as well. God is being left out today and the American people are being set up to perish.

Prov.29:18 says were no vision is [Heb.word for vision here is hazon; meaning Bible revelation] the people perish- [Heb.word for perish here is para, meaning to have no order. Paraphrased; this Proverb says that without divine orders [i.e., God’ written word] we personally and nationally will fall apart.

From I Tim.3:15 we see the client nation now is the nation which recognizes the local church in God’s plans to teach Bible doctrines and further advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The local church is the pillar and ground of the truth. And Jesus Christ is the center of worship because he is the one who came and died for us on the cross of Calvary. He is the risen one from the dead and he is the one who is coming back for us. Our faith is first and always in our Savior, not our nation, but if we honor our Savior, we will honor his word. If we do this God will protect us and guide through all the storms we will face, both personally and nationally, and we will not fall apart.
